A Sweetly Sassy Seamaid...

I'm jumping onto @mermay_official prompt Day 6 #sweettreat

I had this idea that my sweet sassy mermaid would have the colours of sorbet ice cream, with waffle cone tail and chic chocoalte gloves. My seamaid deserved a wonderful wafer crown with sprinkles.

I had this idea to make long flowing moveable pony tails. Using some of my favourites papers from @craftconsortiumltd and @sizzix

So, if you stamp archival ink on opulent and heat it, then rub it away it leaves the most interesting effect. I loved piling her hair on top for a different look ♥ fun fun fun

Jointed Paper Art Doll sat quite contently in a paper tea cup, this was so fun to make love the contrast of her hair against her skin.

Hair was drawn and hand cut using my mixed media template Hollyhock, and I've coloured with copics. Her body, I have highlighted using coloured pencils, as they show up better on the dark brown coloured card. Her clothing I simply die cut the body for the leggings and and shoes, I've used the t-shirt and necklines template for her top, from my vintage paper collection.

Jpad Doll hands as a miniature dimensional piece of art, a beautiful gift.

I love mixing the pairs of hands from my jpad hand die set, because we don't tend to hold both our hands in the same pose. I loved making this piece, I die each hand from quite a few layers, with the intension that I could trim a few digits off and create them as dimensional as I could.
I have stamped motifs on them, coloured and glazed them, I've even added an jump ring too, so they could have been made into a pendant.
But I decided to mount them in a cute mdf ornate frame.

Well someone was ready for their Christmas party... fashionably late like all the greats 😂

She has been ready for her photo shoot for a while, but technical issues with cameras interfered.

I love the texture that the curly plate created on the fur and the cute pom pom trim, which is the smallest curly shape in afro curlies die set. I only used one part of the choppy bob hair die for her up do, and the copics on green card was a fun challenge.

The whole household came down with flu on Christmas day, a couple of weeks in beds and nursing meant I haven't been able to get any crafty time in, but today I fancied finishing this little festive doll, wonder if you can guess who'll she'll be... 🤔
